Juan oversees research at Komos Ventures and at Kosmos Labs. He has a background in quantitative research, economic modeling, simulations, and algorithmic game theory. He has worked as a quant, a data-scientist, and as a consultant for several startups in Web3, in subfields such as distributed storage & computing, financial derivatives, and autonomous agents. An entrepreneur at heart, he co-founded a successful brick-and-mortar businesses generating over $1M ARR and owns a small brewpub. He holds a Ph.D in mathematics from the EPFL (Switzerland), and is in the process of earning a MS in innovation and entrepreneurship from the HEC Paris.
